International Youth Forum in Quba brings together young leaders from 44 countries

An International Youth Forum opened in the city of Quba, Azerbaijan, gathering young representatives from 44 countries ahead of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.

The International Youth Forum opened in Quba with representatives of state bodies and international organisations attending the ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture said. Speakers included Saida Abbasova, deputy head of the Quba District Executive Authority, Indira Hajiyeva, deputy minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Jafarov, deputy minister of Culture, and Rafael Hajibayli, head of the National Assembly of Youth Organisations of Azerbaijan (NAYORA).

Speakers stressed that young people play a key role in building mutual understanding between different nations, creating cultural bridges and expanding opportunities for cooperation. They also noted that the forum offers young leaders a valuable platform to exchange experience, share ideas and forge new partnerships.

Members of the youth network of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations also joined the event. Organisers said the discussions and activities planned for the forum would further strengthen a culture of dialogue and a spirit of solidarity among young people.
