Olive Festival opens on Baku’s seaside boulevard

A two-day Olive Festival has opened at Baku Seaside National Park, bringing together local producers who set up pavilions to showcase their olive products to visitors.

The Olive Festival, dedicated to olive growing, kicked off at Baku Seaside National Park with a number of officials attending the opening ceremony. Among them were Anar Alakbarov from the presidential administration, State Tourism Agency chairman Fuad Nagiyev, and Khanlar Agalarov, who heads the Baku Boulevard Administration.

Guests toured pavilions set up for the festival, where various companies displayed their olive varieties, giving visitors a chance to meet producers directly.

Organisers said the main goal of the event is to raise public awareness of the country’s long-standing tradition of olive cultivation, support local entrepreneurs working in the sector, and help build a national brand around it.

The festival is organised by the State Tourism Agency together with the Baku Boulevard Administration, with financial backing from the Absheron Olive Gardens and Olivea brands.

The event continues on October 25. The second day’s program includes entertainment activities for guests and concerts by well-known pop performers.
