Argentina will roll out a new program offering citizenship to foreign nationals who make substantial investments in the country’s economy. Economy Minister Luis Caputo announced the plan on social media.
According to the minister, applications will be accepted starting in the fourth quarter of 2026. The program is being presented as part of the government’s broader economic reforms aimed at greater openness and international cooperation.
Luis Caputo said one of the initiative’s main goals is to attract foreign capital into the country. He added that the program was designed based on recommendations from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering, ensuring it meets international standards on financial transparency and risk management.
The minister said the government is working to broaden Argentina’s ties with foreign partners, boost the international standing of Argentine citizenship, and strengthen the country’s image as reliable and open. “We continue working to strengthen Argentina’s relationships and promote the value of our citizenship internationally,” he said.
