Azerbaijan produced 51 billion 178.1 million manat worth of industrial goods in January-September 2026, down 0.8% in real terms from a year earlier, the State Statistics Committee has reported.
The annual decline in industrial output deepened compared with the first eight months of the year, when the drop stood at 0.4%, according to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. The nine-month figures show the contraction widened by 0.4 percentage points from the previous reporting period.
The picture looked different outside the oil and gas sector. Non-oil-and-gas industry generated 16 billion 558 million manat worth of output in the first nine months of the year, a real-term increase of 5.4% compared with the same period last year.
That growth rate matched the 5.4% pace recorded for January-August, meaning September brought no change to the non-oil industrial growth figure.
Overall industrial production in Azerbaijan therefore continues to contract, even as sectors outside oil and gas maintain positive growth momentum.
