Poland adds Azerbaijan to its list of strategic partner states

Poland’s Foreign Ministry has included Azerbaijan among its strategic partner countries, the ministry said in a written response to a query from the outlet Defence24.

Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has added Azerbaijan to its registry of strategic partners, placing it alongside the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Turkey, France, Britain, Sweden, Romania, China, Japan, India, South Korea, Nigeria and Senegal. The Azerbaijan-Poland strategic partnership was disclosed in a response the ministry prepared for Defence24, an outlet that covers Warsaw’s relations with foreign states.

Officials from the Polish diplomatic service said that designating a country as a strategic partner reflects the particular weight of relations with that state, both bilaterally and in coordinating action on the international stage. They added that such cooperation is centred on ensuring security and maintaining global stability.
