Azerbaijan produced 29,900 tonnes of lime in January-September this year, 77% more than in the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee has reported.
According to the State Statistics Committee, stocks of finished lime in Azerbaijan stood at 8,500 tonnes as of October 1. The nine-month rise in lime production marks a sharp turnaround from last year’s weak showing.
Looking at annual figures, Azerbaijan produced just 21,600 tonnes of lime in 2025, a 47% drop compared with 2024. This means the nine-month output recorded this year has already surpassed the entire annual production figure for last year.
