Monthly child care benefits for insured working mothers with children under three will rise from 37.58 manats to 100 manats, under a draft law on Azerbaijan’s 2027 state budget.
The proposed increase in the child care benefit for working mothers was discussed at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship as part of the review of the draft budget law. Under the draft, the monthly allowance paid per child for care of a child under three years old would be significantly increased.
Currently, working mothers receive 37.58 manats a month in this benefit. Once the new law takes effect, the amount will rise to 100 manats, nearly three times the current level.
The change was brought to the attention of committee members during discussions on the draft of the “Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027.”
