Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will receive 7.1 million manats from the state treasury next year, according to the draft 2027 state budget. The figure is 1.2 million manats, or 19.5%, higher than this year’s allocation.
The planned AZAL budget funding is set out in the draft 2027 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was presented for discussion to the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
The allocation exceeds this year’s figure by 1.2 million manats, representing a 19.5% increase.
Part of the funds will go toward covering the costs of flights operated to Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The remainder will compensate AZAL for financial losses stemming from transport discounts granted to disabled and combat veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and others with equivalent status, when they travel within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
