Azerbaijan’s 2027 draft state budget sets aside 20.9 million manats to support young teachers taking up posts in rural schools. The funding will cover more than 12,600 young specialists.
The measure was discussed at the Milli Majlis’s Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship during deliberations on the 2027 draft state budget. According to materials presented to the committee, financial support is planned to help attract young specialists who have graduated from higher and secondary specialized pedagogical institutions to work in rural schools.
The 20.9 million manats will go toward covering travel and moving costs for young teachers relocating from their place of residence to their new workplace. The funds will also help them set up initial living conditions at their new posting.
Under the plan, part of the money will be used to compensate utility bills and housing rental costs. In addition, young specialists working in rural districts will receive supplementary payments added to their monthly salaries.
