Azerbaijan’s women’s archery team won the team title at the second stage of the Asia Cup in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. The national squad also claimed a silver medal in a separate event at the same tournament.
Azerbaijan’s archery team secured two medals at the second stage of the Asia Cup held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. The women’s team, made up of Yaylagul Ramazanova, Fatima Huseynli and Lala Abdurahmanova, took the gold medal in the team event.
The trio beat Kazakhstan 5:4 in the final to claim first place.
In the mixed team event, the pairing of Yaylagul Ramazanova and Mahammadali Aliyev reached the final but lost to Iran, settling for the silver medal.
Azerbaijan’s team finished the Sulaymaniyah stage of the Asia Cup with one gold and one silver medal overall.
About the tournament
The competition, held from October 24 to 29, is part of the official ranking calendar sanctioned by World Archery.
