Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports, excluding non-monetary gold, grew 20.5% in January-September 2026. Huseyn Huseynov, adviser to the Minister of Economy, announced the figure at the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku.
Speaking at the forum’s “Business Dialogue” panel session, Huseyn Huseynov said Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports had risen 20.5% in the first nine months of the year, excluding non-monetary gold. He noted that Azerbaijan has taken targeted national-level steps to boost the competitiveness of its small and medium-sized enterprises and expand their access to international markets. According to him, new mechanisms have also been introduced to cut the costs of entering foreign markets as part of efforts to stimulate exports.
The adviser said cross-border business ties require effective communication, respect for cultural differences and mutual trust. He added that such relationships help build longer-term economic partnerships between countries and societies over time.
Huseynov also pointed out that, amid rising geopolitical tensions, trade barriers and supply chain disruptions are creating additional costs and uncertainty for the business environment. “The importance of such ties is now more evident than ever,” he said.
