Zireh LLC, part of Azerbaijan’s AzerSilah OJSC, has developed a high-energy laser system called “MB-24000” designed to detect and neutralize aerial targets. The system can operate effectively at ranges from 300 meters to 4 kilometers.
Zireh LLC head Abbas Guliyev told reporters that the 24-kilowatt system was developed to detect, track and destroy aerial targets moving at high altitude and high speed.
According to him, the “MB-24000” can detect targets at a distance of up to eight kilometers using radar. The complex also incorporates artificial intelligence-based automatic tracking technology, along with daytime and thermal cameras.
Guliyev said the system has already undergone testing. “Tests were carried out on detecting and neutralizing small targets at a distance of approximately 3-4 kilometers,” he said.
The “MB-24000” laser system is cooled using liquid cooling technology, officials said.
