Azerbaijani wrestler Günay Qurbanova has reached the final of the U-23 World Wrestling Championship after winning her semi-final bout in the 59-kilogram category.
Günay Qurbanova faced Argentina’s Camila Amarilla in the semi-final and defeated her to secure a place in the gold-medal match. The win guarantees the Azerbaijani wrestler at least a silver medal at the U-23 World Wrestling Championship.
The final will take place on October 16. Qurbanova’s opponent for the gold medal will be Ukraine’s Alina Filipovych.
