Azerbaijan’s Coordination Council on Hunting Affairs has decided to open the hunting season on October 10. Hunters who break the rules face legal liability.
The decision was announced following a meeting of the Coordination Council on Hunting Affairs, which set October 10 as the official start of Azerbaijan’s hunting season. Rashad Allahverdiyev, an official with the Biodiversity Conservation Service, said details on which animal and bird species may be hunted, along with permitted hunting periods and quotas, are available to citizens in the “Announcements” section of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources’ official website.
Allahverdiyev urged hunting enthusiasts to comply with existing regulatory requirements, stressing that hunting activity must be carried out only in areas and grounds designated specifically for that purpose.
