Prime Minister Ali Asadov has approved changes to the rules for enlisting in active military service under contract. Under the new rules, applicants will no longer need to submit documents that can be obtained through the Electronic Government Information System.
Where a document can be obtained from the relevant state agency through the electronic system, those wishing to volunteer for contract military service will no longer be required to submit it themselves.
In cases where such documents cannot be obtained electronically, they can be provided in one of two ways: either requested from the relevant state body with the applicant’s consent, or submitted by the applicant in person.
The change was made by adding a new clause to the “Rules and Cases for Enlisting in Active Military Service under Contract.”
