US Vice President JD Vance said Russia and Ukraine have agreed to return to the negotiating table. He made the comment in response to a question from reporters.
Speaking on the state of Russia-Ukraine talks, JD Vance said the stalled dialogue between the two sides had resumed thanks to the efforts of US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff. According to Vance, Witkoff is hopeful about the outcome of the discussions he has held with Kyiv and Moscow.
Commenting on the situation, the US vice president said it was his understanding that both countries have decided to return to the negotiating table.
