The Education Development Foundation and the Red Hearts Foundation have signed a document launching a new phase of the “Red Hearts” Education Scholarship Programme. Under the agreement, 20 more students from socially vulnerable groups will receive a monthly scholarship of 200 manats. The deal was signed by Nijat Mammadli, head of the Education Development Foundation’s Management Board, and Yusif Poladov, president of the Red Hearts Foundation.
Speaking at the signing event, Nijat Mammadli said extending the cooperation between the two organisations expands educational opportunities for young people in need. He noted that the financial support helps students deepen their knowledge, improve their skills and confidently pursue their goals.
For his part, Yusif Poladov stressed the importance of social solidarity and public support. He said the project is made possible through voluntary donations collected under the “Onu Oxut” campaign in the Birbank mobile app, helping young people with limited financial means to pursue university education.
Who can apply for the scholarship
The programme is open to first-year bachelor’s students at Azerbaijani universities who scored at least 600 points in their entrance exams and belong to socially vulnerable groups. Each selected student will receive a monthly scholarship of 200 manats for 10 months.
Since the joint initiative between the Education Development Foundation and the Red Hearts Foundation began, a total of 43 young people have received financial support.
