Azerbaijani Army pilots have carried out training missions involving aerial reconnaissance and piloting maneuvers aboard Su-25 ML attack aircraft and L-39 trainer jets, the Defense Ministry said.
According to the Defense Ministry, pilots underwent a preparation phase before the Su-25 ML training flight in which their theoretical knowledge of flight conditions and safety procedures was reviewed and relevant instructions were issued to personnel. After flight crews passed medical checks, servicemen carried out control inspections of the Su-25 ML attack aircraft and L-39 trainer jets.
During the exercise, pilots practiced takeoff and landing techniques along with piloting maneuvers at various altitudes. They also identified the coordinates of simulated enemy ground targets and carried out aerial reconnaissance tasks.
The Defense Ministry said the purpose of such training flights is to raise the combat readiness of personnel and strengthen flight skills to counter emerging threats in the country’s airspace.
