Azerbaijan’s draft 2027 state budget law extends tax breaks and exemptions supporting the real sector, according to a document discussed at the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
Under the draft law, one of the main directions of tax policy is to make the business environment more favorable and predictable. The bill also envisages introducing new, results-oriented tax breaks aimed at supporting the development of the non-oil sector.
The document also addresses the sustainability of tax revenues. In this regard, expanding the tax base and more precisely defining taxable objects are listed as priority directions.
The draft law also calls for tighter control over accounting, reporting and payment discipline.
