Basketball club Ganja, the first Azerbaijani side to compete in the FIBA Europe Cup, will play all its group-stage home games at the Ganja Sports Palace.
Club representatives said the western city’s team will play just five home matches in the tournament, and all of them will be held on home turf.
The games will take place at the Ganja Sports Palace, which has been upgraded to modern standards. Club officials described the decision as an important step toward raising the international profile of basketball in Ganja.
Ganja competes in Group C of the FIBA Europe Cup. Its opponents include Romania’s Universitatea Craiova, Portugal’s Sporting, Bulgaria’s Rilski Sportist, Greece’s Kolossos and Turkey’s Esenler Erokspor.
