Azerbaijan imported just 680 electric vehicles in the first nine months of the year, down 56.4% from the same period last year, the State Customs Committee has reported.
According to data released by Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee, only 680 electric vehicles were brought into the country between January and September 2026. The figure marks a 56.4% drop in electric vehicle imports compared with the same period of 2025, meaning the volume has nearly halved year on year.
The committee’s figures also show that total spending on importing these vehicles fell sharply over the period. However, the exact value of that decline has not been officially disclosed.
